I 'll be driving, or setting idling in park, and it will just quit. It absolutely will not crank back up, but if you turn the ignition switch off and then back on, it fires right back up. Check engine light was on, but it was the mass air flow sensor. Replaced that but the problem persists. Unusual, does it cold or hot, sometimes goes a long time without doing it, other times you can't drive five miles without it doing it a couple of times.

it may be any form of issues. you may hook up each style of testers and notice what's occurring whilst it is occurring. First you may make certain what's lacking: gas tension, spark, injector pulse. probability is it has not something to do with the engine, till the hoop end hollow is only too small and it siezes whilst they get warm. notwithstanding if it have been that, it maximum possibly might by no skill run for greater suitable than ten minutes at a time.

I had a Cutlass that would die anytime my foot came off the gas. All that was wrong was a computer chip needed to be cleaned. Thankfully I had an honest mechanic, or I probably would have had to replace the whole thing.

Sounds like an ECM problem. to be sure you have to have it put on a machine to know for sure. Have a mechanic check it out before you just start removing and replacing parts. That can get expensive.

SOUNDS LIKE A PROBLEM WITH IGNITION. YOU MAY WANT TO HAVE THE IGNITION LOOKED (WIRE CONNECTIONS, INTEGRITY OF THE UNIT ITSELF).
