It depends on what you claim as your taxing status - which is why you are supposed to fill out a w-4 at every job you have. If you are single and supporting yourself - you are normally single with one exemption. A surprisingly high amount of people claim single with no exemptions - which is the highest tax bracket you can be in!! (I do payroll for a living) A majority of people have no idea why they are paying so much in taxes, there are a lot of legal ways you can manipulate the amount you will pay and normally come out even at the end of the year.

That depends on what you're doing for a living and your age... my taxes have always been different from one job to another. most people pay around 25% to 30%... depending on your position and stuff...

look at your w-2 form you filled out.. whatever you signed for thats your precentage of taxes out.. ask you HR manager. he/she can break it down. but usually its between 100- 500 taxes out on that salary amount.
