The Boston Massacre was the colonists' way of retallying against their british predecessors in a way of rebelling against what they thought was unfair rule. In England, the colonies, dubbed the "New World," was represented in Parliament by no one - yet taxed as if they were. This is what you'll hear as "taxation without representation" and you'll also hear about the unfairness of the taxing. The Boston Massacre, itself, was (if I'm remembering correctly) in fact a battle between in which only 5 colonials were killed - but sparked the entire revolutionary movement (essentially leading towards the war and following laws/trials/etc).

Do a web search on the "Boston Massacre" and read about it so that you really understand it for yourself. Otherwise, you are likely to embarrass yourself on this assignment.
