They are in two different areas of comedy...Jim Carrey does more with facial expressions and Robin Williams does routines about what's going on in the world right now. If I had to choose, I'd say definitely Robin Williams. He's all around funny, to me. He's just my personal favorite over most anyone. Didn't care for RV, but that wasn't his fault.

Well, both are physical comedians but I'd have to say Robin Williams. He's more intelligent in his comedy and stands for more of a statement in his material. Jim Carrey is funny but he might as well as just be the funny guy in the back of class pheening for attention.
Robin Williams hands down.
