Oh and a footnote..,the longer you wimps want to cry about torture to the enemy the longer our boys/girls have to undo the damage you cause them and then you wonder why they cant come home sooner.Shut your pie holes and let them get it done and they will be home sooner..,oh thats right you dont want them to win..,sorry my mistake.

Doot, thats exactly right..,the Clinton administration cut back funds so sharply on our military and thats the reason they dont have the equipment they need and the supplies they need..,eight years of dimishing the very organization that we need to fight our enemies and they want to blame Bush for lack of equipment.Tell your husband thank you for his service and thank you as well for being a supportive wife to him..,its not an easy job.

Well i have served during Vietnam, & what i want to know is will the Armed forces side with the American public in removing our own Representative government who has failed to serve the public for far too long. The ruling class has ignored the majority will & needs to the point something needs to be done NOW! like amending our constitution & changing the role of government service. Put rule & control in the hands of the majority of legal citizen's and NOT the few wealthy. Can we count on the armed forces to be on the side of the Majority? The real problems are here in USA. There many simuliarities taken place with Iraq as in Vietnam concerning U.S.government.

Ok, who is telling the armed forces how to fight, other than civilians in the Pentagon, that is?

Tying the "hands of our military to ... extract information.." Do you mean opposing the President's pro torture bill? Well, he's gotten what he wanted, more or less, plus a few dividends such as the right to define "torture" himself.

Who opposed the President's first pro torture bill? McCain, Lindsay Graham, and John Warner. Panty waists or heroes? McCain was a POW for 5 1/2 years and in the military for 23, Graham is still serving as a JAG in the Reserves and Warner served in 2 wars and was Secretary of the Navy.

I have been amazed at the arrogance of these people who have never even been near the training bases, let alone a war. My husband served 20 years in the US Navy, and it is incredible how much training is involved. Two of my sons served in the Army, one was in Desert Storm. They say they are embarrassed for our country when the left-wing Americans start to spew their venom on the TV.

Secretary Rumsfeld has struggled to update and modernize our Armed Forces. My husband and sons see a desperate need for such modernization. This is why the generals are so angry at him. When their ponds became smaller, the frogs became smaller and less important!

By armchair idiots that have never been in a war, I assume you mean Bush, Rumsfeld, Cheney and the rest? The generals who didn't go along with them were fired. Colin Powell finally spoke out against this administration. What happened? They sacked his son from head of the FCC. Petty-minded tyrants.
