I have to write a huge research paper this semester about anything controversial in my life. I'm 18 years old- I have the same problems as everyone else!

The two most heated topics of conversation are always politics and religion. That's because everyone has a personal viewpoint.
Other topics that may be more personal are sexual relations between teens and before marriage, drug and alcohol use of teens vs. the law, and sexual discrimination in schools and in the workplace.

I've had two of these so far! How about: smoking bans, mental health care or universal medical care, steroids/sports, illegal immigration, gay marriage, cell phone/driving regs or new laws.
All of my profs have said to steer clear of gun control, abortion, and legalizing pot. They've read hundreds of these, so we were told there was nothing new to add. If it's not an interesting,exciting topic they might not feel it's a good paper.
