The ultimate RUDENESS is when people refuse to even attempt to hear another point of view on an issue, if they have already decided that their mind is made up about something. Kind of like that senator from Indiana (I can't remember his name this second) who said, "Don't confuse me with the facts, I have made up my mind." I get the impression that is how most people think--at least those people who post here--it doesn't matter how logical, supported, common sensical a claim might be, if people have made up their minds about an issue, then they refuse to even CONSIDER another point of view. (not even necessary to change one's mind)--just CONSIDER it. That is way too much for people, though, apparently.

I worked Customer service at a court for 20 years-just left last week cause I couldn't take it anymore and one of the co-workers was the RUDEST person I have ever met. People come there that have problems, addictions, traffic tickets, whatever and she treated everyone at the other side of the window like they were all common criminals. It really got me going when someone would ask her a question and she would say NO NO NO and NO- even if she could do whatever they wanted like a letter saying they were there for school or work, or even a reprint of a receipt that would take maybe 30 seconds of her precious time. She loved to see people squirm. Then she would turn to everyone working and say-"Aren't I mean?"She was rude to everyone and one of the big factors in making my decision to leave there-the boss did NOTHING about it. I have no respect for that. There is no reason to be rude to customers like that.

My brother is deaf. He reads lips very well, and pays attention to his surroundings, but when people try to talk to him from behind, or where he can't see them they can get really rude. A lady stood behind him at a store the other day and said "excuse me" one time (loudly and demandingly, not politely) then slammed her cart into him when he didn't move. What a rude cow. Even if he did hear her and decide not to move she had no right to assault him. People like that make me want to legislate deuling.

I also don't like it when other people feel that their agenda is so much more important that they can shove and push to get their own way. But I can deal with it.
What really makes me mad is when someone attacks my credibility in a situation. Like when you have a return or try to explain why you are doing something.

what gets me most of the time....is when people, both men and women, have completely sexist views...and then absolutely refuse to hear my point of view...because obviously since i believe that women are equal to men in every way and that our place is not in the kitchen barefoot rockin a cradle.....since i believe that then i am a femi-nazi, dyke, or some other sterotypical feminist....i am proud of my views, but if someone believes something innately wrong and contradictory to humanity....then they need to know....but for them to simply refuse or worse to indulge and condescend to listening...and then explain away the facts with traditional views....argh! i just makes me so freakin mad!....have a nice day

You can do/say anything to me and I'll sit tight and take it...but DON'T EVER talk about my friends behind their back. Especially not to me. I love my girls, and I don't want to hear about why you don't like them!
