Cars that ride your tail, then pass you only to flip on their blinker to turn. They end up having to wait on traffic which in turn so do you. I usually flip them off and honk!

1) Old people who insist on writing a check for $1.27 at the grocery store on a Saturday afternoon when 10 people are waiting in line behind them.
2) People who chew with their mouths open.
3) People who scuff their feet when they walk.
4) People who cut off a conversation with you in order to take a cell phone call. RUDE!
5) People who use those Nextel walkie-talkie cell phones in public. (Like we want to hear their conversation?)
6) People who continue to turn left at an intersection, even though the left turn arrow has turned red.
7) Pretty much anything a teenage boy does...laying drags in his car, playing rap music so loud that the car body vibrates.
8) People who think the world OWES THEM something, but they aren't willing to work for it.
OK, that's enough for the day!

I would have to say anything racist or demeaning, or someone who is in the fast lane going really slow and then when you get out from behind them into the slow lane to pass them, they speed up so you cant pass, and when you get back behind them because you think they are now going to go faster they slow back down. Those people i would really like to extend the FINGER of hope to.
Oh- that and people who INSIST they know everything and feel like they need to share it all with you even if they dont!

i don't really react to any rudeness. well, when i'm driving i do, and i feel really bad about it. my husband does the funniest thing, he gives people a thumbs down. its way better than flipping them off. but most things i just ignore, its pointless to get angry. although one time i did yell at my friends boyfriend, he was making her really upset, that got me angry enough
and to the girl who said food service isnt hard: yeah its not a hard job, its a demanding job. i did it for 4 years and people are rude, they expect you to concentrate only on them (especially big groups of people, they feel entitled) demand the most ridiculous stuff. having 5 tables all sit down at once isn't the easist thing in the world either, someone is just going to have to wait, and thats all there is to it. (of course there are exceptions, i've had some wonderful customers, but most likely not that girl)

Hard to be original with so many other good answers. I will skip driving. I will say to the cat fight we have in this question that if can't handle the pressure of being a waitress, get the F out of the restaurant. Huge pet peeve of mine is when I am halfway through my meal and can't get drink re-fill. Another one is ANYONE who writes a check at the grocery. CUT IT OUT.....we have debit cards now. And if you absolutely have to write a check, have it made out already, you freak.

What gets me every time are bad waitresses, and bad drivers.
Food service is not that hard of a job (unless you're in a world class eatery as a chef) its not hard to fry food, plate it, and give it to me. If i can do it they can do it. So when i get cold food, a waitress who forgets things, doesnt bring me my check, or cant check in on me while iam eating i get REALLY pissy. Its not hard work. at all.
And bad drivers. This is my BIGGEST pet peeve. Massholes and Jersey drivers should be shot on sight.
