He is proposing replaying the match or adding substitutions in overtime and the Golden Goal. Wouldn't that be more refreshing?

Or even taking players out during overtime.

no! the best way to resolve it is if it is equal after 90 mins, each team has to play with two less players. 9 v 9 would produce more goals. then if it is still even after 10 mins of extra time, it gets cut to 7 players, then finally to 5 v 5 and then the first goal wins.

only after that you should have a penality shoot out.

the result is that the better team still has a better chance of winning, and it makes it harder for a team to play waiting for a penalty shoot-out.

also, maybe penality shoot outs should be taken from D outside the penalty area so that it becomes an achievement to score a goal, whereas at the moment players are expected to score and get demonised if they miss.

As always Blatter has lost another chance to shut-up and step down from FIFA board (but hey... it's time for re-election)
So far, he has been the

BIGGEST CLOWN

ever seen in soccer history.
His idiotic ideas of changing the game (than change it back) haven't made soccer any better.
His obnoxious attitude towards few countries - e.g. Brasil & Italy - (or toward women!!!) has shown his inability of being a leader (see the 2006 World Cup Final and the Zidane-Materazzi episode)
If you want to know more about him, check
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sepp_Blatter

For the B I G - L O S E R above "...LOOK WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE GAME GOES TO PENALTIES... THE SHITTY TEAM WINS..." I would like to remind him/her that ITALY (the WORLD CHAMPION) has a record with PKs in the World Cup:
- 1990 World Cup - Out in the Semi Finals with Argentina
- 1994 World Cup - Lost the Final with Brasil
- 1998 World Cup - Out in the Quarters with France

...but probably he/she will not understand... because I am talking about soccer!
(btw: SHITTY team is the one who LOST)

great idea i believe - replaying the game would be i think the best way to solve the issue but not starting the same players as the first game would be the trick - all teams have 23 players, enough to field 2 teams......how about that???

i think it is a good suggestion..no important game should end with penalty kicks..it's not fair..and they shoudn't have banished the golden goal in the first place..
