You would need to ghost the harddrive if you are getting a new pc and getting rid of the old one. Other than that, if they are in the same house or business, you can connect them using a network with a router and hub.

You could network them, allowing info to be sent from one to the other. You could remove the HD from one, install it as a secondary HD in the other, and copy everything across. You could burn the info onto CD/DVD. You could get hold of an external USB HD, copy info from one comp onto it and transfer it to the other. Take your pick.

There may be several ways. In fact, there are several ways. Considering today's technological environment, I'd buy large capacity flash drives, copy all to the flash drive, and they upload to the new computer. In fact, I'm doing that now.

Buy a crossover patch cable and connect one end to each computer. Set up file sharing between the computers and copy what you want from one to the other.
