Funny you should bring this up. 2 nights ago someone broke into my sisters home by cutting out part of the glass in the sliding glass door. The removed the bulb from the motion detector. They stole her kids new stereo speakers and other equipment. The state police came but refused to take fingerprints???????? We think they are going to sell the loot for $ to buy drugs. I live on the border between northeast and central PA and I can tell you that the drug dealers are coming here from Philly NY and NJ to sell. It's really getting bad here. The community leaders talk a lot but I don't see much action. And the jail sentences are laughable!

Depends on what side of town you live on..yah know. I've lived in the Tampa Bay area, Chicago-land area and now Milwaukee. All three cities have their fair share of problems...Milwaukee defiantly an alcoholic town...Chicago I would say a Coke/Ecstasy town and Tampa...well hell it's FL anything goes really!!! :) It just depends on where you live in the area...I always prefer paying a little bit more for a nicer neighborhood. Yeah it may mean I can't go out as much...but it's way worth it to stay out of drug invested neighborhoods.

yes, it is, but it's the individual's choice to work through their addiction. There are a lot of meeting places and even gay/lesbian AA groups and non AA groups(mainly through hospitals/community centers) I have a bunch of gay recovered alcoholic friends who actually have formed their own group to support eachother when they go dancing or to a gallery opening or even to a party. Gay/Lesbian/Straight. it's always going to be out there, just surround yourself with people who do care, not who you think care. There are many things to do than go to a BAR.

We could put all the gays on boat headed for China. I think the drug problem will always keep the cops on their toes. They have to be 10 steps ahead of it to stop it. Trouble is dope dealing is so sophisticated and they have so much money that slapping them in jail only to be bailed out again doesn't do anything. It kills kids and destroys lives. Education in schools should be priority.

I hear meth is a big problem but I never really see any effects of it myself. Pot is abundant but I don't even consider that a real drug. There are a lot of alcoholics but since they are my friends I cannot rag on them too much!

I live in a small town outside of Dallas Texas and it's like a huge problem here. the crack and meth is causing so much crime. we had 4 ppl go into our pizza hut and shoot 2 of the workers in the head (killed them) because they were pissed off. drugs will be the downfall of the world. man made drugs are killing us and killing our future.

I heavily imagine you should take a even as to introspect on your position in this persons existence. out of your initial question it sounds like you're an enabler. quite than attempt to assist this man or woman LIE about their deficiancies and shortage of ability to conquer an dependancy you should objective to convince this man or woman to rehabilitate. As someone with pals who're at present doing Federal time for drugs i visit inform you first hand that what your doing is merely contributing to that persons lack of life. you should locate the ability to assist that man or woman. If which ability they fail a UA and get their paper revoked, nicely then with slightly of success they could use the time of incarceration to reassess the undesirable judgements they have been making. in case you nonetheless enable this person you'll merely be contributing to a vicious cycle of denial, degeneration, and at last demise. heavily.....imagine about what you're doing. Ask this man or woman if the existence they stay is truly the existence they choose? if you're a colse buddy you'll locate your own power and allow this man or woman take duty for his or her negative determination making.
