Well if we are defeated again it is comforting to know that the non-rich cons will be headed right down the toilet with us so in that sense it is a minor victory.

That's a good question. Maybe it's because defeat is pretty much all they've had since 2000. They have to try to find victory somewhere.

They don't. They just want it to look like they do because libs will believe it.
"President Clinton was awesome during the Mathews interview." really translates into, "Hey they bought the Monica story, lets just keep telling them he was great, and our little minions will believe this too."
