Yes. we all do. The influence we have over people in our lives happens when we, without trying, behave in a manner that has integrity, compassiona and wisdom and they see us do that and want to be more like we are.
Sadly, for people who have no sense of their own worth, they might be watching another behave in a way without integrity, compassiona or wisdom and they may be SO desperate for that person's approval that they start to act just like their idol.

I'd like to think I'm a bad influence - certainly I used to be in my teenage years, and I maintain that anything is probably more worth doing than not doing, which might well have influenced a couple of my friends to do things they'll regret. In my rapidly advancing years though, I've become an advocate of consequences, meaning my friends tend to listen to me less. Guess that proves that I could only ever influence people to do what they really wanted to do in the first place.

Yeah most of them especially people I;m close too …I think some more then others though!!!...most of them I can just advise really (cuz I wouldn’t like to be told what to do by most people either)…some I can tell..:) (cause they would do the same)…

Yes my daughter asks my advice a lot and takes it most of the time, especially regarding job hunting and child rearing.
