Had to think about this one...why not sew up a pea shell,( think horizontal) large enough to accomodate the three kids, with holes for the three heads. Kids can dress in green leotards with green caps (think water polo types) after they pose for pictures, they can shuck the shell and party on.

make a long green skin-tight (leotard type) costume from head to toe (use t-shirt material or some other stretchy material). then cut out some green material into huge circles (like making a pillow) and stuff them with either cotton, polyester, foam, sponge or wutever that will keep it round and stiff. sew them onto the back of the costume (so that whey ur daughter wear it the "peas" will be trailing along her spine. for the skin-tight part of the costume, make sure the head is covered as well and make a small "stalk". get some more material and sew it onto the two sides of the back of the costume (parallel to the "peas") and connect the two sides by using two zips. i hope u can visualize wut i'm saying- get two zips, both opening in opposite directions. so now, the two extra pieces of cloth are like the covering for the pod and cover the "peas" and when the zips open the "peas" can pop out!
hope this helps

try looking on for the pattern online. I've seen this for infants, so I'm sure they have the pattern for children also..
