I watched the second half of this on TCM, but they didn't say the name of the movie in their little "after-talk."

Like the question says, it's a movie about an architect named Howard Rourke who is repeatedly knocked down by "the Man", but his faith in his own work and ideas help him keep coming back. The movie's moral was all about "your ideas are YOURS, and no one else can (or should) take them from you." I'm pretty sure it was made in 1933. Anyone know the name?

I think it's the Fountainhead, based on the novel by Ayn Rand. It is from 1949 and is a similar plot based on your description.
