I have 4 lights that come up when i try to use my console. i'm aware that this means this is a problem with the AV cable but is this always the problem? i don't wanna go buy a cable if theres a chance it could be another problem. Has anyone every experienced the 4 lights and how have you resolved the problem.

go to xbox support u have to send it back i had to send mine back twice the num is 1800 4my xbox

Try turning your system off, unplugging and replugging all your cables, including the power cable. Sometimes the 4 lights will appear if the power connection is a bit loose.
If that fails, call 1-800-4MY-XBOX and they'll talk you through the problem.
