I think it's been blown out of proportion. The man had a broken bone in his ring finger, and had metal put in there. The man was in pain. I believe he was just trying to get rid of the pain and took too many. If he was trying to really kill himself, I don't think he would've called for help.

I don't think he was really trying to kill himself. He craves media attention like no one else on this planet and I think this was just another way to get that attention.
I wish TO "the human being" well, but I hope TO "the cocky athlete" and the Cowboys totally implode. They rewarded TO's years of childlike antics with a big contract and big signing bonus and now they are reaping the chaos! Cowboys suck - Ha Ha Ha.

As a paramedic I can tell you that chances are he wasn't really trying to kill himself. In most cases people who swallow pills are just looking for attention, all they get for their effort is a nice activated charcoal shake, yum! People who really want to commit suicide make damn sure no one is going to bring them back. T.O. has some issues no doubt, but they are more related to needing to be the center of attention than suicide.

Every now and then he feels the need to grab the headlines. I think it's an ego thing. The Cowboys need to unload him or they will suffer the same type of season as the Eagles did last year. T.O. is not worth it. Jerry Jones needs to think of the welfare of his team.

he's human and he's depressed it could happen to anybody hope he's ok and can overcome. being cocky or a jerk i think is just his way of protecting himself from the world.

Yeah it's unbelievable! I can't imagine what kind of issues he must be dealing with. He has a lot of critics, a lot of people that want his money, and a lot of fans. I feel sorry for the guy. I think he's entertaining on and off the field.
