Try some repellents-
What is Shake-Away and how does it work to get rid of chipmunks? It is a strong, granular deterrent that contains the scent of the pests most feared predator, the fox. Shake-Away Small Critter Powder uses the scent of the fox to take advantage of the chipmunk’s inborn, instinctive fear of its worst enemy, driving the pest from your property.

Does one have a big red nose? It may be Chip & Dale, I not seen them around here in a long time.
You can call your County Extension Office and they may be able to help and even mail you some Brochures on this. That free and it a tax supported agency so use what we paying for. Here they real good people and they have loads of information. Heck, sometimes they have classes (You do pay) that teach Upholstery and Horticulture etc. I know a woman took the Upholstrey class and now she has her own business working out of her garage.

I don't think there is any way to get rid of them. We have them too in the midwest. They have holes all over our yard. We have tried flooding the holes, tried putting pellets of stuff down there that was supposed to make them go away. Nothing has worked. If we fill the holes, they just make new ones. I don't think there is a way to get rid of them.

Try eliminating the food sources that you can,if you feed birds stop or buy a squirrel proof bird feeder. I have the same problem I dont think there is a way to totally get rid of them other than killing them. Most of them should move on without easy access to food. This worked for me.

Go to your local "Do-It-Yourself Pest Control" store. They have "Red Fox Urine" Put some around the yard. I guarantee it will work. It is costly due to the collection process (lol).

I've always heard you should run water from a hose down the hole to flush them out.
