Be very careful removing services. Are you wanting to completely remove them? Or simply prevent them from running at startup?

actually is control panel>administrative tools>then services then right click on the service you want to cancel right where it says status and click properties however windows prevent you from removing it in case you make a mistake. Then click on the properties window click on the drop down box that mentions startup and you put disabled however beware! this is not recommended unless you know what your doing. Use it at your own risk do it under supervision of someone who really knows or post it at majorgeeks.com or .org forums and ask for help, i ve screwed up once here in services and im not going to do it again.

Try this instead:
Run the msconfig utility. Go to Start, then Run and type in: msconfig
Go to the startup tab
You will see a list of all the programs that are loaded when your computer starts up. Uncheck any that you do not have to have. (Usually you can uncheck them all). If you decide you to need one, you can go back and recheck it.

Your best bet would be to ignore it if you're a novice. If you want to try however, I suggest following this FAQ by Black Viper.

only remove things from services if you are 100 % sure otherwise it could cause your computer to crash
