9/11. My thinking the matter is if you wage war on Terrorist then you have to expect them to fight us with Terrorist tactics. You see we were not official at war before 9/11 and when we got hit everyone wanted to help us. Now we can not use that card because what did we think was going to happen if we are at war with Terrorist. I'm not saying we should not fight them but waging war means you think you can win, how do we win if there is no one to surrender, and who will come to our aid if we get hit again?

it's not "if" you get hit again, it's "when", though i wouldn't wish it on you. the policies of your president have ensured that terrorists will try and try until they are successful. don't forget you were overthrowing middle eastern democratically elected politicians in the 1950s and have been supporting racist israel and its illegal occupation for nearly 60 years. your policies are not a consequence of 9/11 but the cause of it.

I think what you're trying to ask is "Now that we have declared war on 'terrorism', should the rest of the world support us if we get attacked back?"

While you didn't ask it very well, that is a really poignant question. On one side, it is a war, and if we want to keep calling it that we have to expect losses here at home as part of the reality of that war. On the other hand terrorists by nature do not respect the "rules of engagement" and too often hit civilian locations such as schools, churches and malls. I think it would really be a matter of the scale of attack and the targets chosen.

But you're right, war does not make you "safe" until it is over.

They were fighting us with terrorist tactics long long before we declared war. As a matter of fact, Al Queda by means of its leader Osama Bin Laden declared war on us first (1998). There is a way for them to surrender. All they have to do is stop trying to spread Sharia law to the West.

Additionally, a lot of countries were sympathetic. That doesn't mean they wanted to help (whatever you mean by that). Europe has had terrorist attacks on their soil longer than we have.

The US has funded terrorist operations everywhere in the world. By declaring war on 'sponsers of terror', it's quite literally declaring war on itself.

i believe when people come here to america, after a while they become complacent and forget what is happening in their own land they now see what tv can bring and the media plays it well . then they start to have thier own opinion and see how bad our goverment can manipulate the politics and they dont agree with, then they start to change sides but noone can make them go back and they now have a voice of their own belief when they go for office.
