The answer depends on your perspective.
The Flamingo really started the dream that became the strip.
The Sands was probably greatest entertainment mecca of all time. You can't argue with the success of the Rat Pack in the 60's.
Treasure Island ushered in the new age of casino building, and paved the way for the super hotels of today on the strip.
Caesars Palace is really the last of the great old strip casinos.
The Venetian is my personal favorite. The architecture just cannot be beat, or least hasn't been beat yet. This is Vegas we are talking about, and it's constantly changing.

Oh man this is a hard one. The first time I went to Vegas of course I did not know or did not have a clue of what it could possibly look like so I asked around and I was told since this is your first time stay somewhere that is not to expensive and that is in center strip and I was told to stay at Imperial Palace. I DID NOT LIKE IT. I would say it is one of the most crowded casino in the whole strip and I mean crowded cause everything is so close to each other it is bad and the rooms forget it I had a very bad experience. We had traveled over 8 hours and we just wanted to go to sleep for a little bit and when we got to our room it was still not ready what the hell. SO anyways ever since I have stayed at Paris, I really like it there even though it does not have thing other hotels have but it is just so peaceful and romantic

It's so hard to choose just one. I was there ten years ago and I am sure things have changed a lot since then. Shoot you could have been there yesterday and things have changed already. The Luxor was pretty nice and I liked the little boat ride. Caesers Palace was amazing but that was back when Siegried and Roy were there. I stayed at the Excalibur and it was pretty dirty if you ask me, a lot of dust and a very basic room. MGM was fairly new back then and it was pretty amazing. Tell you what, you find a trip to Vegas for me and I'll give you my opinion of things now? Sound good? lol

Cockroach project is a delusion. i have been there about ten situations and in no way even heard of it in the previous. you do not choose a vehicle, yet ought to take taxis or holiday the tram. site visitors is one of those nightmare you'd be happy you probably did not lease a vehicle till you're planning on going to Henderson, Grand Coulee Dam,The Grand Canyon or different side journeys. low-priced and wonderful isn't that straightforward. yet in case you booked months ahead you should get a motel. i'd recommend a smaller on-line casino contained in the older area of city (North of the Mirage) that has lately been wiped clean up (I berlieve that is Fremont street although that is been many years). it truly is the position the locals gamble because many times the slots are looser. attempt Travelocity or Expedia. except that, have relaxing and save in ideas the casinos are there to take you money. So evaluate it merely leisure and don't be disturbed about it too a lot. i'd say that if you're a prudent gambler you should study about those video games that may truly be overwhelmed with using your own ability, which includes Poker, Horses, etc., or which do no longer have an incredible style of probability, which includes Pai Gow or Baccarat. Craps is a short recreation, yet in case you truly spend some funds on books and skim some articles by Peter Andrews and different experts, you may eventually the thanks to guess; even though it isn't a recreation for anybody. have relaxing.

The Bellagio is fantastic with their fountains to music. Last December it was snowing in the lobby!!!! We stayed at the MGM but I think it was quite average. Yes it is huge but nothing special. The Venetian was lovely with the classical music and the Gondolas!
I loved the Luxor with its mysterious atmosphere. Mandalay Bay has got some great restaurants!

Caesars Palace is the original Las Vegas resort and remains true to its reputation. It is a full service resort/casino/hotel and spends millions of dollars in renovations and improvements.
With the addition of the Forum shops it is truly a unique Las Vegas experience

The Mirage. I was there opening weekend and I always love the atmosphere in there just to sit and hang out. It's always been my favorite.

The MGM Grand is impressive too and sooo big. Stayed there 3 times when it first opened.

I think the Venetian is the most beautiful! But they all have their great points. The Bellagio is wonderful too. And if you want a great hotel with a fun theme, try Treasure Island!
