Just to correct the person who says that you need an ftp program - you don't...dreamweaver 8 has its own built in ftp service.
Firstly you need to buy some webspace and a domain name (eg. www.youdomainname.com) and then whoever you get the webspace with (eg fasthosts, demon internet, BT etc) will provide you with "FTP details"...which is basically a web address where you can upload your site to, a username and a password.
Take these FTP details and edit your site in dreamweaver - once dreamweaver has stored the information you will then be able to literally drag and drop your website from your hard drive to the server.
If you are not sure how to edit your site details in dreamweaver, do a simple search in the help file for "FTP" and it will step you through it.
Good luck!

Well, you would have to upload it to the internet. You can do this for free at www.freewebs.com, or you can purchase a domain and hosting space (i.e. www.godaddy.com). Once you upload it to a server, you will be able to view it on the internet.
