I don't think he was actually trying to kill himself. If all this **** is true maybe it's because he wanted to kind of redirect all the attention he's been getting lately, sort of change the subject. He's been in the spot light for so long over the drama with the Eagles he just wanted them to drop it and feel sorry for him. Of course he will still be in the spotlight but now he will have everyone's sympathy. OR - - - Maybe it's because he's so disappointed in himself not making any big plays for the Cowboy's yet. He really hasn't done much of anything as of yet, the last game they were all over him, double coverage all day! I am a Cowboy's fan and I hope to see him come back and DO SOMETHING!!! I wasn't too thrilled about Dallas signing him in the first place. Right now he's all bark and no bite, the least he can do is walk the walk come back and make some big plays.

I think that its absurd that there are people here who think somebody would attempt suicide for publicity. T.O. might have been deeply depressed. Those guys are under a lot of pressure. T.O. even more so because everyone is watching every move he makes waiting for him to f up. He may have had personal prboblems that we don't know about. I hope he's able to pull through this.
People who say things like "he did it cuz hes dum" are probably too young or too naive to know what its like to hit bottom.

I really dont think someone his caliber would kill himself. This is not for publicity because he already has enough. You cant trust the media who is trying to make the biggest headline they could. They will take any lengths to produce a great story. This to be something with the meds. I think the reaction got out of control. So he probably got addicted to pills to reduce the pain. Probably a lack of thinking but not an attempt to suicide.

cause he is a baby that wants to die, he's getting tired of everyone following him around, reporters at his door, always being on T.V. (even after a terrible performance) ( I mean seriously, when was the last time ESPN feautred terry glenn having a bad performance?)
I think he just wants out...
I just hope it dosen't bring down anyone else on the team!

He has mental problems, talk about a poor role model for children. The NFL should give him the boot.

He wasn't grateful, and he wasn't loving. In short, he was focusing on the negative aspects and thusforth destroying his life experience.

It's hard to question anyone's motives, what might look apparent may not be the real reason.
