I have a small chilli plant that I keep in my greenhouse it has 3 small chillis on it they are about 1 1/2 to 2 inches long and have partly turned black. Is this normal? It sait on the ticket that they would go red. Have they still to ripen and will they ripen now?

Depends on the plant. Partial black discolouration can mean too much sun. They should still ripen as long as the night time temp in the greenhouse doesn't go below 7 degrees. To help them ripen get a ripe banana (getting black spots) then put it beside the chilli's. The ethylene produced from the banana speeds up the ripening process. Or it could be the type of chilli. What does the ticket say the variety is?

I have a pimiento chili plant. It sprouted peppers that were black, then turned red as the fruit ripened.
