This girl in my class writes about everyone in a notebook. She writes about everything we do without telling us what we right. Is this legal?

It is legal as long as the contents are kept private. If, however she publicizes the contents in any way she can be sued for slander if you can prove she is writing about you and your friends and spreading malicious gossip.

Is it a journal? A diary? What is the point of it? Ask her to stop it, that you do not need her interpretation of what you are doing, it might not be perceived correctly by others. Ask her to allow you to read the notebook.
If nothing is detrimental, why worry? But if she exaggerates and embellishes and makes it public, then you do have legal right to sue her for defamation of character. But you probably do not want to go that far do you?
You sound fairly young, perhaps go to your teacher and ask her to confiscate the notebook and destroy it.

First Amendment, sweetie. It is not illegal to write in a private notebook, if she posted or published things that were NOT TRUE about other people that harmed them in some way, there can be civil penalties.

She has absolutely no obligation to let you know about anything she writes. She can write whatever the hell she wants, even if it isn't true. The only legality issue would come in if she were to publish her writings or make them public. Then, anything false could be slander. But, anything true would be fair game, even if you didn't like it and didn't authorize it.

It's her notebook. There is no law about who or what she writes about.
You, my dear, are paranoid. Find something real to worry about.
