I'd sure love to know the answer to that question myself. One of my coworkers was in Afghanistan when that happened. He gets a real disgusted look on his face when you ask him what happened. He said we blew it.

Because bin Laden is a kissing cousin to the Royal Saudi Family. Bush makes more money from his business interests with the Saudis than he makes annually as being president. His job as president is nothing but a sideline to him. I believe that bin Laden is living in luxury, in the guest room of the Bush Ranch in Crawford, Texas.

Many people risk their life to assist OBL some believe he is the mahdi.

It seems that that the report in the French news paper indicating typhoid may have killed OBL, was not substantiated. In order to fulfill the role of the mahdi (divinely guided one) of Islamic eschatologic prophecy, he must escape death. OBL is not dead, yet.

I think that Osama is in Qom, Iran, the same place as Iran's Supreme's Leader Sayyid Ali Khamenei. Remember Osama wants to bridge the gap between Sunni and Shia. The US has some control over the Musharraf government in Pakistan but not over Iran. That makes Iran the safest place for Osama. Qom and Mashad have important Muslim shrines so they are the safest cities in Iran for Osama. The Wali al Asr was hidden at Masjid Jamkaran in Qom. It would be the perfect place for Osama.

Even if the US or its allies take military action against the underground nuclear research facility at Natanz, the heavy water nuclear facility at Arak and the nuclear power plant at Bushehr, there will be no attack against the holy shrines in Qom and Mashad.

Osama Bin Laden and Sadam Hussein are merely pawns used by the U.S. government in order to cover up what's REALLY going on!...

It's NOT about a "war on terror" or "fighting for freedom"!

Not sure about that claim, but lets face a simple fact of American politics: we need our enemies.

Who else can we blame for all that ails us?
Certainly not ourselves!
I can count on one hand the number of politicians that actually are accountable for their actions.

So, we need a scapegoat...a villain to curse at and condemn.
If we killed bin Laden, we'd have to invent another "evil-doer".

bin laden in custody in the us?is "bow hunter" joking or an ignoramus?

bush let him go because he needs a long, drawn out war on terror with a viable "bogeyman" as its head to ensure US population's support and ability to manipulate their fear.
