You can use windows media player to view the movie files. Try downloading avi or mpeg's.

Also use lime wire to download codecs or go here:
http://www.free-codecs.com/
(select any codec pack and install)
I recommend godianknot.

After install you should have sound and video.

First off, you are using the wrong software to download films. Limewire will bring all kinds of virus infected files to you. Do not use it for anything other than downloading music files. I would delete any 'film' files that you have downloaded already with it. you dont know what is in them...start again from square one.

You should use a bittorrent client (like Azureus, bitlord) to download movies for the following reasons:
1. It is impossible for one individual to corrupt a bittorrent file with a virus. It is much safer.
2. You have a much greater selection of films. All the latest releases - even pre-releases.
3. You remain totally anonymous. I am not sure the same is true of limewire.

When you download your file, simply click on it. I normally play avi and Xvid files in winamp. You will soon get use to the different file formats. There is no need to worry about what they mean. You just need to look for movies as avi or Xvid or DVDrip and you will be ok.

do you have windows media player ? if you do you will be able to play mpgs on it, when you have downloaded the file you need to goto the limewire folder and find it, when you have found it click on it and it should automatically start playing in the media player
