Heck no. You ever see the shoes thrown on the side of the road? That's the national shoe exchange for one-legged people. They toss out the one they don't need on their way home from the shoe store. Other one-legged people simply slow down to see if it is a left or right or the correct size.

Does the shopkeeper give them only one of the pair? If yes, they deserve some discount. Otherwise, which I believe is the case, they don't deserve any discount. They may consider making their orders directly with the shoe factories, which will be in a better position to give a discount.

By the way, why did you not ask for a discount for an adult person who buys the smallest size of shoes, but is asked to pay the same price as the person with the biggest size? Does he not also deserve a discount?

I read an item in the news paper about two old soldiers who became friends, both had lost a leg in the second world war, they went shopping together for shoes and bought the one pair between them. I do agree that people who have lost a limb should get discount. x

No, worked in a shoe store once. Had a customer with one foot size 6 and the other foot size 8. She had to buy two pair of shoes.

I would think not because then the shoe company has an extra shoe floating around....unless ANOTHERperson has only one foot in that size...they should have a shoe exchange program for people like Heather McCartney!

OH, Please tell me you know someone with one leg that likes to wear a slight heel, black and size 7. I have a box of shoes in my closet that are two right feet. I forgot to look in the box when I bought them. I wonder what I can get for them on E-Bay...

That is a very good question, and yes they should get a discount. But most people nowadays have a prosthetic leg.

My father-in-law had only one leg. They still sold him a pair of shoes for full price. But now they have stores for people that only have one leg.

I dated a guy with one leg (really), and our closet was filled with single shoes. Seems a waste, doesn't it?
