Try using bug and tar remover. I've used it to remove burnt rubber from the sides of my car (I was power braking...lol) A friend of mine also used it to remove paint from her car. I heard that Mean Green works too...GOOD LUCK!!!

Goo Gone gets every thing off every thing safely! It's cheap(only about 2.00 a bottle) and you can buy it at the hardware store. You just squirt some on the sticky stuff you're having a problem with, let it sit for three or four minutes, and scrub it off with a sponge or clothe. It works wonders!
I had a sticker on the side of my truck for years, it was a company sticker. We took it off after the business retired, and the sticky stuff wouldn't go away. I couldn't get it off with anything. Then I saw an add for this Goo Gone stuff and decided to try it. It took it off like it was nothing. I use it all the time now, and I love it!

There is a goo remover I purchased at a local store that worked perfectly on my car glass and body without ruining the paint.

Blue Coral make a remover. It comes in a kit with wax. Or you might be able to find Muther's products to remove the sap. Both are good

Mineral spirits will also dissolve your paint. Go to an Auto-Zone or someplace like that and read some bottles of cleaner.

You could go to any auto parts store and they will have car cleaners specifically for cleaning bugs, sap and all kinds of things.
