Two years in to my first serious relationship and i was thinking how lucky i was to have found her. i never wanted to lose her. She was my everything. I treated her the way a lady should be i did everything she wanted me to do and she did the same for me. One problem she hadn't come out and her parents didn't know. We even talked about how we could be together forever if she didn't tell them. next thing you know I'm dumped and she's saying she never loved me. ouch. now it's five months later and it still hurts. So yeah committed relationships are hard to come by and Lesbians have the same issue even if people joke around and say things like "what does a Lesbian bring on the first date? a U-Haul"

Hi Jason,
I, too, was 15 in 1980... and had the same problem as you. All that I wanted was to find Mr. Perfect and start a life together. And what I got was what seemed like an endless stream of homesick abortions that did and said anything to get what they wanted. I took me 14 years to find the right one, and had to leave the (liberal) city to find him....in the (conservative) country... at Walmart! So we've been together 12 years.
During that time, it seemed as though the ladies had better luck than us guys, but then again, I think guys are more promiscuous. Great Question, though....

When I came out the last thing I wanted was a committed relationship. I was one of those guys who were wham, bam, thank you what-ever-your-name-is......and I had a great time for a few years doing that....then I met Mr Right and he just changed me - from day one all that other sutff was behind me. I am not sorry I went through that period of time, I enjoyed my self very much, now it is just time for me to be settled. We have been together 14 years and I don't imgaine anything will ever change.

As you get older I think you will find that the only ones left might be the unstable ones that couldn't get a long with anyone at any point in their lives. That's what I am finding here. I am now thinking that i might be spending the remainder of my life alone. I am sorry to say that I know a lot of others who feel this way. too.

i came out late in life and when i came out i came out as a transsexual so finding someone wanting a meaningfull relationship was and still is near impossible. the only people i run into are the ones looking for a quick piece
im assuming its the same for pretty much everyone.

Wellll..... Queer Christian womyn in their early 30's with a heart for social justice aren't a dime a dozen no matter where you live, so I think it will be a while before I find my Ms. Right. But I've met lots of womyn on the Pink Sofa (www.pinksofa.com) who are genuinely also looking for their longterm honey, so I haven't given up hope!

I came out and the first guy I had sex with was like that but the next one is Mr. Right. I am in love for the first time in my life as intensly as love can be. I still love the soon to be exwife but this guy is my soulmate.

Things are different these days. They're worse. Which really sucks because I'm hardly interested in sex at all, and all everybody wants is some booty.

I'm still playing around. I think I'm too young to be settled. I'm not worried though, I'll know when I find mister right.
