The time before my last doctor's visit, the nurse was doing all my vitals, then she did the blood pressure velcro thing.. And first on the left, she went "Oh my gosh, this cant be right!!" It was so high, I think she thought the thingy was broken, so she checked it on my right arm, to be sure.. She got the same reading.. and again said: "Oh my gosh, honey your blood pressure is way too high!!" Well, that'll teach them, for not listening to me, about taking me off of my valume!! They put my right back on it, plus gave me a script for 10 mgs. of Lisinopril.. And man does it work!!! I was feeling like I was going to have a heart-attack, at nights, and some days at school, too!! It was really scary, for me, to go through those days without my valume.. I have a really high-stressed, life, and those valumes, definately come in "Handy" for calming me down!! Especially with two teenagers, driving me "Crazy" with their fighting all the time, and drive me here Mom, drive me there Mom, without any notices... Plus I'm a Full-time, student, with Tons of Homework.. And these are "Stressful-Times" for everyone, I think... I think everyone needs something to Relax them from their daily stresses!! And I'm not pushing my meds, either.. I'm simply talking whatever works for them to release their stress-levels.. Sex, a good walk, excercising... and so on!! Smile!!!

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

it is not abnormal for your dominant arm to read about 5mm higher than your non-dominant arm. If it's more than 5mm, make an appt with your MD to have the arteries checked for narrowing inside the lumen

Sometimes BP is higher in one arm than the other, (different in different people) but it's so slight that it's not considered in the recording of the BP.
