When the disgusting fat body, Hugo Ducky Chavez was in the US, he claimed that he will offer discounted heating oil for the poor of the US.
As I was leaving home this morning, I noticed the local Citgo station with gas at $2.36 per gallon, two blocks east of Citgo is a Phillips 66, with gas at $2.26 per gallon. So, is what we have here the Robin Hood concept, or is Hugo and Citgo simply overcharging middle America so he can discount in the hood? By the way, who still uses oil to heat their homes? This must be a Venezuelan practice, where they heat their little grass shacks with oil!

A few days ago, I read where CITGO is owned by "PDV America, Inc., an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A., the national oil company of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela" (as quoted from the link).
Not just wow...but "WOW!".
Will I buy from CITGO in the future?
F*CK, NO!
It is ironic that blow-hard Chavez can come to America and spew his verbal filth at us, but NO one in Venezuela could get away with any kind of free speech.
Living in Oklahoma, back in the 1980's and '90's, I witnessed the loss of CITGO jobs, as the company closed up and moved to Houston.
But I never thought that it was owned by a foreign government.
Maybe President Bush will grow some balls and do what any evil third-world dictator would do: nationalize the oil companies, like CITGO.
But I'm dreaming...Bush lacks leadership in a lot of areas and this is one of them
Anyway - back to the theme here: BAN CITGO - DON'T BUY THEIR PRODUCT.

Believe it or not, you can still buy an oil burning furnace today. I have no idea how many people have them, but they would be a way to go if you live in an area where you don't have a natural gas line running to your home or business. Instead, you would have a big tank(s) that would get filled by a delivery truck.
I remember years ago, when I was growing up in the 60's, a man would come to our house with an oil tank truck. He would go down into our basement and check the meters on our tank, then he would go back to his truck and pull out the hose and hook it up to a pipe on the side of our house and fill our tanks. Back then, we had this really big furnace that must have been at least 10 feet in diameter. Eventually, it died and out came the furnace and the tanks and we got a natural gas furnace with central air.
Anyway, offering discounted heating oil for the poor is a small drop in the bucket compared to the amount to money they make on gasoline for automobiles. I didn't hear or read what he said, so who knows what amount of a discount he's even talking about. If he just said he was going to offer discounted heating oil that could mean anything, even a discount that is so low it's hardly worth mentioning. But, it makes him look good because he's going to do something good for somebody. It's when you analyze it and ready between the lines that it falls apart.

I believe that if Chavez is as evil as everyone Say's he is then they should not let him sell his gas in America. That's how you know Money speak louder then words. I don't hear anyone in our government say we should stop accepting oil from Venezuelan because maybe Citgo contributed money to the very people who run our Government. Its all about the money baby, and Hugo knows that as long as we accept his oil he can say what ever he wants to us and we will shrug him of as loony toon, but in actuality he is very smart and playing all the right cards for someone in his position. He is a very interesting political figure and we should follow his career very carefully.

I buy where ever its chaepr, be it citigo or where ever, does that mean you think those that buy from exxon-moblie are exploiting Americans? In my neighboorhood CItigo was 3 cents cheaper than anyother this am, so I filled up, so sue me! Chavez only said what many Americans feel, he went a bit mello dramatic, but so was the axis of evil speech King George gave
