If it's nice you could start off at southbank, they have one of those groovy fountains you can run through, and an intereactive orchestra to play with, loads of kids were absoltely fascinated when we were there, it was great to see, there is also a good family type restaurant close by if you are planning to eat, it had a world music type theme and good food! Musical is probably good fun, what you would see would depend on his likes- lion king is supposed to be fab, you could alwasy go to the box office on leicester square and check out if they have any last minute tkts- depends on how disappointed he would be if nothing was suitable, what about that big computer games type place near picadilly circus, I imagine any 11 year old boy would be thrilled to be taken there- have plenty of money handy, and maybe a fixed time limit! There is also a cinema there, science museum and the natural history museum are usually popular with this age group, as would be the London Dungeons (not for the faint hearted, but you would be his fave relative if you took him there!- check opening times if you will get there late, and maybe check out V&A or Tate Modern to see if there are any suitable exhibitions if that would be his thing, the London Eye- you need to book this before you go, and it can be done via the internet we always loved to feed the birds when we were young- try st James park or Trafalgar square! Have a great time

I took my 13 year old brother to see Lion King a few months ago and it was amazing! He totally lapped it up! We then went on the London night which is amazing at night, not so great during the day! Dinner in Wagamama went down nicely too, and they're all over London! There's on just off Covent Garden which is a good location, because the street performers all over Covent Garden are great for kids! I'm off to London tomorrow with a mate to see a play, can't wait!

Have a great time!

I love london lots to see and do there is the London Eye. Which isa good attraction as well as london bridge etc Buckingham palace.

But for meals i would stick to the restaurants either in the hotels or kid friendly becuase 11 years old wont really appreciate good good food ya know? i rather spend money on attractions. I mean ive eaten at Corthope hotel in westminster and at harrods and really enjoyed it!

I would take him to kew gardens, I went there on sunday just gone and it is amazing. Also the london eye, the aquariam, the tower of london, big ben, hyde park, I think they might have someone playing there. Or you could just take him to the IMAX 3D cinema and watch a film, or you could take him to the science museum and see the disney section, although that might have finished by now I am not sure.

The London Eye at night would really be something.

Or, failing that, the London Aquarium right next to it has a chocolate fountain!!
