Most children will smile at anything that make them happy. A trip to a playground, Playing tag or chasing makes my almost 4 y/o daughter laugh like theres no tomorrow??? Tickes also make them laugh.
Children in general aren't loaded down with alot of responsibility and things that make grown ups or bigger kids worry or think about, therefor they are more apt to be happy, smile, and laugh. Hope this helps. You could also go to a kindergarten or prescholl class and volunteer a half an hour...see how they really smile.

The innocents inside is what makes a child smile. Seeing things for the first time or smelling a beautiful scent. The safety of the world in their eyes. The trust they have makes be smile just thinking about children.

The feeling of being safe , even if just for a moment.

A funny face made by mom or dad.

Peace.
