I believe the snail would win as it has the staying power. The grasshopper would be able to inflict some early blows but they would only be flesh wounds, it wouldn't be able to get through to do any power-sapping damage to the snail.

However, if the rules were opened up I think the grasshopper might stand a chance with some long range eye-pokes. Once the eyes were out of actions it could leap from side to side causng confusion and go for the between flesh-and-shell killer punch

Snails would have to have hands to abide by queensbury rules. Grasshopper in 3 rounds, unless Snail employed Rope-A-Dope tactics and waited until Grasshopper keeled over

Very difficult to predict the outcome of a fight between a "Hard case" and a martial arts trainee, but with Queensbury rules thrown in, I would have to plump for the snail

The snail would have difficulty getting its gloves on - on to what? It could hide in its shell during the fight. But likewise the grasshopper could easily stay out of the snail's range. To be fair, it wouldn't be much of a fight - and I'd expect it to end as a draw

The grasshopper. The snail would have difficluty punching.
Grasshoppers prefer kick boxing, anyway.
