I first noticed my toes going numb Jan of this year. I took a 5 hr. roadtrip, when i reached my destination, my toes were purple. I had NO FEELING in them. I could barely walk. I thought it was due to the long car ride.

Over the last 9 months it is becoming more frequent. My toes will become pale, white with NO feeling. I usually get into a warm bath tub and pump the blood back into them. They are very sensitive to cold weather. I have also noticed a pins-n-needles sensation in the bottom of my feet as well.

I also thought I had a nerve problem because I suffered pain in the back of my leg when I drove my car. When I dont drive, I dont have any pain.

I am 33 years old. 5'3, 135 lbs. I have gained 15 lbs over the last year, so Ive been on/off of the diet pill, Didrex (dont know if that could cause this?).

The problem is I dont have any health insurance and know that this will probably cost alot to diagnose. Any ideas of what could be the cause or dx?

It sounds serious. You may have bad circulation which can cause clots. I have no insurance either. I made some calls and fopund a place that took me at a discounted rate fee. It is going well now. Good Luck. Please see a doctor if you can.

This sounds like a circulation problem or a frostbite problem. Who cares if you have insurance or not, it is more important to be healthy. See a clinic if necessary, they are usually lower in costs. If this is frostbite, that can be VERY serious, loosing limb serious, if this is only a circulation problem, figure a manner to include the proper exercise to increase blood flow to those limbs. Curl your toes while you are at work or something. Seriously get help today.

You should see a Dr. - even if at a free clinic - it sounds to me like you have what my Mother had - Adult Onset Diabetes.

The symptoms you describe are common symptoms of Diabetes.

Get it checked out quick - you can lose your toes, feet, legs, etc. If you are not careful.

I don't know if this helps but a few years ago I was experiencing the exact same thing. What I found was that the shoes I was wearing were not good for my feet. I changed shoe brands and I have not experienced this problem since the change. I hope this helps.

At 51 chances are you have started the hardening of the arteries. You need to see a Doc have the cholesterol, blood pressure done, loose weight if you are overweight, start a low fat diet and exercise, otherwise you will be heading for trouble. Good Luck.

It prolly has alot to do with the diet pill your taking!! You should stop and start eating better and i'm sure exercise would help so much. Drinking lots of water would help also. Diet drugs are never good for your health.
