I may be having one of these soon, I was wandering if anyone can give their experience of having it done whilst being an adult?

Don't do it! If your doctor says you need to have it done, find another doctor. A competent doctor can treat almost any condition of the foreskin and penis without surgery.

There is no good reason for circumcision!

Once you lose those 240 feet of nerves and 20,000 nerve endings of the foreskin you can not get them back!

I was circumcised at the age of six, they deaden you pretty good for the surgery but it still hurts like hell for about a week after. Then the friction against your clothing is hell again (still is 50 years later).

As you get older the loss of sensitivity for sex gets to be even worse. I feel so little during sex it is difficult to maintain an erection, and if I do keep it up, it takes me so long to reach orgasm my wife can not take it, I have to finish myself by hand. Kind of takes the fun out of it, if you know what I mean.

Some claim that is is easier on a baby or child than on an adult, IT IS THE SAME! The difference is the infant or child cannot do anything about it, an adult would get up of the table and punch out the doctors lights if he tried to do mutilate his genitals.

Some girls say a cut penis is a "turn on" but remember a "turned on" penis has all the wrinkles streched out of it, so it looks the same. If a girl can turn you on she won't see any wrinkles anyway. So if she can't turn you on why worry about what your tool looks like to her? A girl that worries about the look of your soft dick must be a dog.

I agree with you completely! Either make them both legal, or both illegal. It would be very interesting in seeing how something like that were to go through the court system. I don't have an issue with adult males being circumcised at their own will; we pierce, tattoo, pickle our bodies all the time- why should this be different? As long as my premiums for universal healthcare don't pay for it, I couldn't care less. It's with infants i have a problem with. It's his damn body! The "looks better", "matches the father", "easier to clean" "safer from STDs" is all crap: Looks better: Like you said, that's subject to opinion. Matches the father: OH GREAT! The father was beaten with a belt as a child too! Wanna have your son re-live THAT pain too? Easier to clean: Bugger off. Get off you lazy a$$ and clean your kid! And teach him good hygiene when he's old enough. It wasn't hard for me to grasp. Safer: If there is apparently no undisputed scientific fact out there that proves I didn't choose to be gay, I refuse to believe that there's undisputed scientific proof that says that cut men are more resilient to STDs. Now on to religion: My best friend is jewish and is quite proud of his cut penis. In fact it's sometimes part of his opening line when he meet's someone new. My friend has always been sensitive about his religion (even though he's reform and basically non-practicing) to the point where if you don't agree with any certain part of his religion, he gets defensive. I used to say that it was fine to do it for religious reasons, but then I thought... wait. There are other religions and cultures that require female circumcisions- those cultures exist here in Canada and the US, yet FGM is illegal. So what's with the double standard? Don't compare the severity; they're both barbaric unnecessary operations- WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE? The same friend's girlfriend plans on having her kids cut. Why? "It's cleaner. Oh he won't remember it." This girl is a HUGE hypocrite. Why? She's pro-life to the highest degree- to almost the level of Palin's pro-life stance. Ok.. Child's rights, bla bla bla... Now what about when the child is born? Where are his rights then? With all due respect to everyone who practices a faith of some kind, I say to hell with religious, traditional, or cultural reasons. Outlaw infant circumcision for BOTH genders or make both legal.

I think someone had asked this question before and this is my experience as an adult.
I do not recommend it unless your foreskin is long and cannot be pulled back for cleaning. Once circumcised, you will lose all sense of direction and feel. You will need to use you hand to guide it to the vagina. Because you lost the feel factor, you will take a long time to orgasm. Aesthetically it may look better, but the fun of enjoying sex is going to be hard work! Sometimes it takes so long to orgasm that I lose interest completely.
So you decide. If a foreskin is useless then nature would have all males born without it!

I dont believe in these. I think every man should have a complete and whole body. You are born with that skin there, and it protects the glands in your pen*s. The only reason people started circumcising baby boys is because it cuts back on the masterbation they do as adults because it takes away from the sensation. Do yourself a favor and dont get this done.

Circumsized men are more of a turn on. Most parents do it out of heigene reasons. If your not a clean person. Being UC can cause you many health problems.. and infections under the skins layer.

So alot of woman start thinking.. Ok is he clean? what kinda nasty sh!t is under there.... But.. i guess i would leave it.. i would atempt to mess with it.. being older. Find woman that like it.

Yes I can give you experience from someone who was once uncut to now being cut - and guess what I .........

think it was one of the best things I've ever done!!!!!!!

Now I had it done for medical reasons and I wasn't so keen on being circed having believed a lot of what some/now a lot of people are saying. So I got it circumcised VERY reluctantly. My then girlfriend was also very reluctant as non of her family were cut and up til then preferred uncut.

Firstly I had it done in Australia and was 28. They knocked me out and I only spent 1/2 a day in hospital. I know of others spending up to 5 days in hospital depending on who & where it is done.

Well AFTER it was done, I had no worries. I was able to have sex within approx 5 weeks. It was tender but I can't remember it being overly very sore. It was sore but not THAT bad.

My girlfriend thought it felt BIGGER & it felt BIGGER for me to though we both recognized logically that didn't make sense. Maybe coz there is less skin????? She ended up saying sex was better & it looked better and was more open to giving me oral.

Orgasm felt a lot more intense.
When I was uncut I'd get my pubes caught in my foreskin - gee I miss that problem. Also miss my foreskin getting caught in the zip - NOT!!!!!

I used to shower and within 1/2 an hour afterwards I could peel back my foreskin and there'd be a smell no matter how long I washed it for afterwards or how much soap, shampoo, deodarant I used down there - there'd still be a smell!!!!!!

Gee I miss the smegma on a hot day - NOT!!!!!!!!

I miss peeling back the foreskin to have a wee that often sprayed everywhere - NOT!!!!!!!

My only regret is having not getting it done tighter as mine is a loose cut with the skin bunching up behind the head. I now might get it done tighter in a recircumcision.

I've had a boy & chose NOT to get him circed. Mainly coz most boys now in Australia are not done. I think it is more common in Qld. Though if he ever wants it done he'll get it done with my support. I got stirred in the locker room when I was young for having a aardvark penis so I know what it's like to be young & to feel different. Mind you if we'd lived in the U.S or Canada or Israel we wouldn't have even thought about it & had him circed. It's not so common nowdays in Australia nor places like the UK or Europe. So the locker room factor came into it for us but I'd encourage my son to get it done when he is older if he wants - his choice.

Oh yeah I knew a cancer doctor who was mentioned he'd prefer it to be compulsory for EVERY male to be circumcised and I've read/heard and know of nurses who work in nursing homes where elderly guys can't/don't clean and are always getting infections of the penis.

To all the anti -circ loud mouth supporters spreading crap to this guy's answers - Get a life. One doesn't lose sensation or feeling in fact as I stated opposite it seems more intense. I KNOW as unlike many of you I bet I've been uncut & now cut. It emotionally hurts babies I don't think so as they're so young they wouldn't even remember it. I don't know any one circed at or near birth who remembers it. In Australia a lot of doctors won't do it til the baby is at least six months & they anthetise it so they don't feel a thing.

The guy who I've forgotten his name get off ya anti circ crusade - this guy is an ADULT not a BABY - HELLO!!!!!!!!

Come on guys who've been circed at birth or ya girlfriends of ones who have - speak up against these anti circ zealots. I bet 99% of guys who are circed ARE satisfied with their penises, their feelings and I bet their girlfriends are too. Every relationship is of course a lot more than being circed or not.

So again to those anti Circumcision zealots - GET A LIFE!!!!!!!

It sucked, they cut too much off and left me with a stub. I also lost all sensation. I've been in and out of therapy since it happened. The worst is they tried to reattach it and it rotted off because it didn't take. Absolute worst experience of my life.
