We had a large tree in our backyard: a great climbing tree. I used to love to sit in the top of the tree, the highest split off of the main trunk, and dream about the world below me. I didn’t know it, but that tree was the birthplace of my life as a poet.

Riding my bike and swimming at the city pool for 50 cents (the whole day)! Ahhh, those were the days! Now, I pay $15.00 per person at the local water slide park. Don't you just love inflation?

To go to grand mom's house and listen to my grand daddy tell stories. MY granddad was the favorite with all the grand kids, even if he had to whip you for being bad. I loved and miss him. That was my favorite thing, weekend at granddaddy's house.

My sisters and I would go over to the bomb damaged houses and slum clearance sites and build our own house using the bricks, we made our table and oven from bricks and the slates from the roofs, lol, Having 6 children my mum couldn't afford doll house's. I look back on those days with love and warm memories. x

Play like there was no tomorrow. In fact I still do the same activities: Tennis, basketball, frisbee, etc. I love my life.

Playing with Barbies in the basement. We made our own Barbie houses out of any kind of junk in the basement.

Go to my grandparents in the fall and play in the leaves, or spend weekends with my Great aunt and uncle.

go to my grands house, swim in the river and catch shrimps! we also help pick ripe coffee beans and cacao! what a great time spent with cousins! you know i have 21 cousins in my mothers side and were approximately same age!

Play in the hose on a very hot day.IT helped cool off.AND i also got even with those who bugged me. PLUS squirt guns filled with water from the hose. AND pick up cans+pop bottles and cash them in and get candy.

Eat candy, read, pick boogers, watch The Three Stooges, watch scary movies, swim, ride my bike to the river, and torture bugs, in no particular order.
