Are you saying it's their fault? A women shouldn't have to cover up because a man thinks she wants sex. That's incredibly stupid.

Hmm...consider what you said. It depends on what you consider rape to be? Jumping out of the bushes, random freako stuff or getting picked up in a bar and the guy goes a little far? If you are talking about the bar scene consider that an agreement was made you just forgot to work out the details of the deal before doing the deed. Not everyone gets their way all the time, especially when there are two people involved. Sometimes it's your turn to lose. Each situation has to be based upon it's own merits. And Some people do have an agenda...

Rape has NOTHING to do with a woman's appearance at ALL buddy! Neither does a woman's past reputation. Rape is about a man who gets off on domination, power, control and (when talking about serial rapists/"stranger" rape) sadism, violence, humiliation.
Dressing sexy, hanging out alone with a man or even being in a relationship with a man are NOT OPEN INVITATIONS FOR SEX! By your logic, it's ok to steal a tv because, gosh, Best Buy made that display so damned appealing.
When a woman *likes* the way she looks, she's more likely to be confident and less likely to put herself in risky situations. A girl with poor self esteem often makes the "best target" for date & aquaintance rape.
You're a moron. And women "fear" rape, as you say, because of mentalities such as the one you're displaying.

We don't deserve to get raped, just because we look sexy. That's such an unfair double standard, because if we dress down, we get ridiculed and overlooked by guys for not being sexy enough. Even if a woman has a lot to offer a guy; could even be the total package minus the "sexy look" a lot of guys go for, she'll most likely be passed up for a girl who does have that "sexy look".

Not all women who dress sexy fear being raped, because kids don't dress sexy when sick men take advantage of kids. Women who dress "too" sexy are more likely to get raped but you can dress sexy but be sexy with taste; not trashy. There are other women who don't dress sexy but fear being raped because they've had bad experiences in the past kind of thing.

It does not matter how sexy a woman looks its no excuse for some degenerate to touch her, no one has the right to lay hands on someone else...Rapists !.what a loose word for the dredges of society, they should be castrated without a second thought....and if that doesn't work because rape is not necessarily a sexual crime but a violent control crime then cut off their hands too.

its strange isn't it...society dictates that women look a certain way but that way can bring unwanted attention which could result in being attacked.....the sad thing is males in our society have become so disrespectful, seeking sex all the time (and add viagra to that) and for some reason think women want to be 'taken' that they cross the line too many times. men need to grow up and see that there is more to life than sex and women need to demand more respect by dressing and acting less slutty and quit buying the lie that hollywood and society tells them that showing it all, surgeries to have big boobs, starving yourself to be thin and poofy lips is not normal or attractive no matter what they say. there has to be accountability on both sides

i know, you are exactly right! You spend a long time getting ready for a night out and just because you are showing a bit of leg or bit of cleavage it means if you get raped it is your own fault. I was watching a documentary and a girl got raped and the police basically said she was asking for it just because of what she was wearing!! Its disgusting!

Some women don't have to try to look sexy, but to fear of rape is a human instinct. What do you fear?

i know what you are asking. and i agree with you. in a way.
what's the problem with the parents who allow their young girls to walk out of the house looking like little women?
big difference between a miniskirt and a skirt 1/2 way up the butt.
big difference between adding a hint of makeup to brighten up the comlexion and a full face of crap on the face with thick black eyeliner and big red lips.
girls want to grow up fast these days. they have no idea what kind of sick people are out there.
i see a few sides of this. look at it from the parents' side, the young girls' side, the sick mans' side, a 'normal' mans' side (go home little girl), a young boys' side (you look like a whore- maybe you ARE)
