Pumice stones are great but they will take a few weeks to work as they only take off the dead skin gradually - this is the best way. Don't be tempted to use something sharp to remove it all too quickly. Don't forget to moisturise after exfoliating, this will help to keep the skin supple and stop it from cracking which can be quite painful and leaves a prime site for fungal infections if your feet are in sweaty shoes all day!
A small amount of dead skin is healthy for protection against things like friction blisters so don't remove it all until it gets tender.
If you have corns or callouses it might be worth going to see a chiropodist who can give you loads of advice about getting rid of them, but if it's just hard skin, keep scrubbing!

I use peppermint foot scrub from the body shop which not only smells gorgeous it also helps get rid of the dead skin on my feet. I tend to have soak in the bath first and then apply it. If your feet are cracked aswell I'd use Flexitol Heel Balm. If your feet aren't too bad use lots of moisturiser daily. Also Botanics (from Boots) do a pedicure kit that you can buy for under a tenner. If you feel like treating yourself have a pedicure. I was a bit dubious about people touching my feet but it was soooooooo nice and relaxing and would def recommend it.

I usually soak them in the bath first and then go at the dead skin with a pumice, or a nice sloughing cream( the best is from avon) And next comes the best part, get your wonderful boyfriend/husband to help you massage some moisturiser into your feet once you have given them a good soak and scrub.

Get a pedicure. Or buy a pecidure file for your feet. Soak your feet in warm water with foot softener for 5 10 minutes, dry them and then use the pedicure file which will slough off the dead skin. Moisturize

You can get a pumice stone at Walmart, CVS etc. Just use it in the shower to scrub the bottom of your feet. Works wonders!

get a foot file or a special tool from chiropady dept in chemists (looks like a tiny potato peeler) or a disposable bic razor and carefully 'shave' the dead skin off. this does work but be very careful and only do it in the bath or after soaking your feet until skin is soft.

They make "foot sanders" that you can use to slough off the dead skin. Pumace stones work really well. Also, if it really bothers you, a dermatologist can give you special creams that contain a mild acid, which will take the dead skin away as well.

I got a really cool thing from Boots, but I don;t know the name of it, it was in the callouses and verrucas type section and it is a retangular black block in a plastic box. It disintigrates as you use it so you can be sure you're not going to breed germs and is very effective!

Pumice stone. You can get one just about anywhere that sells personal care items. Rub it on the bottom of your feet, elbows, knees, or any other rough area.

Hi, you can try soking your feet in warm olive oil before scrubbing it. It'll soften dead skin quite a bit and it moisturises your feet too! Try to get the PURE olive oil, there are many "adulterated" ones in the market.
I get mine here!
