The pill is not 100% full proof. Has she had to take a form of penicillin in the past month, if so, penicillin cancels out the effect of the pill and thus she may well be pregnant.
Of course it could be that the test gave a false reading, have her wait another week or so and re-do the tests.

I got pregnant while on the pill. I never missed a pill and took it at the same time every day. The pill isnt 100% effective....and I have the 2 year old to prove that!!
If the blood test came back positive then she is pregnant.

IT IS possible for a woman to get pregnant while on birth control. It doesn't matter if you miss a pill or not (although missing pills can make it less effective.) The odds are very slim, but it does happen. If her test came back positive, then she needs to stop taking the pill, or she could be putting the baby at risk for different kinds of birth defects.

Yes. (clearly it is from your friends condition) The pill is only 99.9 percent effective with perfect use. That means if you remember take your pill every day, at the exact same time each day 1 in 1000 women will still get pregnant. Missing doeses will increase this risk. An at home test will only cost a couple of dollars though, and will give her some peace of mind either way. Most over the counter ept's will tell her even if it's only been a few days.

If the blood test came back positive, then she is definitely pregnant. That is what the Dr's turn to when the urine tests are inconclusive.

It's totally possible. I'm here as a result of a missed pill, lol. But there is no 100% sure fire way of not getting pregnant besides not having sex, so that's the risk you take.

Yes it's possible - the pill is not 100% effective against pregnancy. I know a few women who got pregnant, even while on the pill.
