I was just at Kmart yesterday and was disappointed with higher prices. They didn't have what I was looking for and I left without buying anything. One good thing is that when I walked into the store an employee said "Hello" to me at the customer service counter so that was nice. I have found that many times when I'm buying something and I go to the check out line there are only 1 or 2 cashiers and a bunch of people in line so it's frustrating having to wait.

I am in Wichita, Kansas. KMart used to be done of my favorite stores and I still go there for specific items. But, customer service is lousy, and yes, it started when they were closing stores. I hope that Sears will jump in and get things corrected, but so far that hasn't happened.

There are seldom enough cashiers, cashiers and customer service reps talk to each other when they are to be helping the customer, there are either too few carts in the store or they are all so jammed together that you cannot get one out while holding a young child.

So, WalMart is getting more of my business than KMart now, and so is Target.

They're still hanging on. They're not doing as well as Walmart or Target, but good enough to not close anymore stores any time soon. Now that they've teamed with Sears Holdings, there's light a the end of the tunnel for them.

They now accept Sears credit cards.
They bought out Sears about a year ago. So I think they will do fine. They will soon be the only ones in my town that will be doing lay a way.
Kind of sad cause we have a lot of pore folks here.

The Kmart I go into in Alexandria (Midwest state).... must be under staffed for you have to wait in line for 10 minutes to get waited on...It's VERY annoying and everyone IN LINE complains about it.

I see fewer and fewer people patronizing Kmart due to this.
