When my boys were about 17, 15, and 12 I walked into my house after work. It was dark when I opened the front door. Uh oh I thought. All of a sudden I heard my 15 year old playing Happy Birthday on his saxaphone, my 17 year old holding a cake with candles, and my youngest singing Happy Birthday. They had baked the cake themselves. It was lopsided and flatter then a pancake but it was the best birthday cake I had ever eaten.

After my mom passed away a few years ago, some of her old pics were at my step dad's house... She'd left me the pix and he was always busy and I didn't get over there much, so as time went on I thought I might never get my mom's pix. One christmas, my husband handed me a big heavy box and I opened it. It was all my mom's old photo albums! I cried. It was the most thoughtful present ever.

Ooohhh... it's a toss-up.

When I was a toddler, I got a stuffed grey kitten... 'Kitty' had two front legs and no back ones (her tail wrapped around her back end, emulating the way a cat's back legs kind of disappear like that when lying), small but pretty brown eyes, fishing-line whiskers, a little tiny pink felt nose, and her head ****** to one side like she was curiously looking at something in front of her. I'm almost 30, and I wish I had Kitty again. (sad, I know. I can't help it).

Another, would be my A.G. Bear. He was white, with a blue jacket, and when you talk to him, he'd 'talk' back using robotic growls that sounded like something you'd hear on Doctor Who. I was devastated when I lost him years later, and got another one for my birthday (6 months after losing him). Two weeks after getting the new one, I found my old one hiding behind my hope chest in my closet.

For number 3... my Atari. It spawned a love of video games inside me that continues on to this day. Let's just say, I *still* have all 103 Atari video games I'd ever bought (okay, I once had 105, but gave two away as a gift). One day, I plan to finish my collection, and get every Atari video game ever made.

When I was 6 yrs and my sister was 4 yrs., our grandma took us to the dime store and let us each pick out a little story book (for our birthdays). We then went back to grandma's, sat in grandma's lap (both at same time) while grandma read the story books to us.
Our grandma died the following year. But I will never forget that, I'm 50 now.

The most thoughtful present I ever got was a pair of legwarmers from my now ex-boyfriend. I mentioned that I liked them at a dance store and he remembered (!!) that I liked him so he got them for me.
Other fave things I have gotten for Christmas include Tiffany's jewlery and pearls and hair products from my grandmother.

My husband made up a gift certificate that promised me a trip to Chicago for an art exhibit. So not only did I get a Chicago trip, I also got to be excited for two months knowing we were going.

Best gift by far is my salvation through believing in and confessing Jesus as my personal Lord.

Now for a great natural gift. A couple of years ago, some friends of mine gave me a day of their time to do some projects around my home. It was fabulous. They put up shelving in my bedroom, put shelving in one of my closets, set up my new surround sound system and fixed a few broken things.

I was so happy.

My Mom once asked me to name something I wanted or somewhere I wanted to go , or do , but said I got only one choise . I said I would like to go on a cruise . I thought it was only a game , but she actually took me on a cruise , no special occassion , just because she loves me . The thing is that we have never had a lot of money so she had been saving for a while to grant my wish !

A personalized Nashville Predators third Jersey, with my name and YOB on the back as my number.
FYI...it's Gold, not Mustard Yellow....TV distorts the color.....that's why it was named the 2nd ugliest sports jersey..only to the Padres camo looking jerseys...
