John Pershing and George Washington.

The rank is General of the Armies - there is no rank insignia, so calling it a six star rank is misleading. Washington is traditionally considered the highest ranking and most senior general, for purposes of military rank.

Whenever, in the past, a need was due for a higher ranking general, Washington has been posthumously promoted to the new rank, backdated to 1776 to keep him as most senior. By Executive Order by Gerald Ford, Washington will always remain senior, and may never be outranked.

Never heard of 6 Stars (I've been with the Military 34 years).
Last 5 Star was Gen of the Army Omar Bradley.

This us of a is made from extremely some human beings, they are all entitled to their evaluations, incorrect or perfect. in shown reality it really is what makes us large, so in case you sense compelled to blindly follow this guy because of the position he's been you're giving up your freedom of selection. it really is like your mum and dad used to assert, "only because your acquaintances are driving off cliffs, do you want to do it too?" you shouldn't be like sheep being led to slaughter, you want to imagine for your self.
