As I was answering my e-mails for the day my seven year old asked me to get him something to eat as I only usually give him cold cereal on the weekends. I thought why not let him have cold cereal today so I said why don't you fix some cold cereal? he said Can't I have the stuff you fixed yesterday? Wow what child actually prefers good food over junk food I ask you? I am impressed that some of my teachings are actually getting through. How about you guys any one out there with children who prefer good healthy food over junk food?

I picked up my son from pre-school yestarday (he's 4) and he was eating snack, they gave him oranges and a peanut butter cookie. When i looked at his plate he had eaten the oranges first you would think most kids would go strait for the cookie but not my boy! I was so proud.

Your teachings are taking affect, the child is developing healthy habits, Good Job to the both of you! At our house we do not keep any junk food, so they are not tempted. Both my girls order salads and even spinkle lemon juice on them, as to not gain weight, they are at the age of adolescent going to peer pressure.
