Really good water quality makes the biggest difference. Change 10% of the water every day with water at the same temp as the tank.

While I would add some pureed beef heart and liver until they are dime sized and then guppies fry, I would also change water continuously and provide as large a tank as possible. Discus are easily stunted by changes in PH, ammonia or nitrates and temperature. Also, even being frightened is harmful and may cause them to stop eating. Try this. Put them in at least a 55 gal tank (in a quiet area with low lighting) which is rigged with a water level maintenance system that allows excess water to overflow. Feed into this at the rate of 1 gal per hour water that is being aged in a tank with a similar system which is fed by tap water and has an undergravel filter and is well established and planted (and a little acid in PH). Your fish will grow rapidly.

Tetrabits will be fine for juvenile discus. Feed them with beef heart meat when they are older but never on any type of worms. Worms are dirty. They get sick easily eating worms.

No, i do no longer think of there will be problems. If mutton coronary heart could be fed, so can beef. of direction, the beef coronary heart could be in small products and clean. beef incorporate carbohydrate and proteins, that are sturdy for the wellness. And particular, i admire discus fish to boot. ^ ^

Most Discus breeders swear by beefheart. But it is messy to prepare. Water changes, daily if possible, will reduce any growth inhibiting hormones and waste products,

It sounds like they're already on a great diet! You might also want to add a little beef heart - my discus thrived on it.
