Traditional Fall is not in abundance around San Francisco. But Muir woods is always tranquil and relaxing. Carmel and the 17 mile drive are always breathtaking. But your best bet is to see the city indepth. Get out of your car and walk a hill. See Chinatown and have a latte in Northbeach, wander the waterfronts. Take in some shows and eat eat eat.

I LOVE San Francisco. The coast (North or South) is breathtaking and well worth a drive. There is plenty to see in the city as well. Big Sur is definitely worth a trip.
