Why won't this guy stop calling me? One date and I owe him some big f-ing explanation? I think not. Guys never call and nobody ever harrasses them....geez, unfair.

Let your answering machine pick up. And, if he happends to catch you, just be frank and to the point (I'm not interested in dating you.) and tell him you are busy and you have to go. No big explaination. If he keeps calling you and harrasing you...pick up on a phone message...tell him that you don't want him to call you anymore. Tell him it is stalking and harrassment...and that you will report him to the authorities. Keep all phone messages and log any call in a journal that you pick up on.

i think you can ask the same question to booth sex's why don't they take the hint? and i do believe you no some of the answer to your questions, one in love and the other not. nobody likes to get hurt but some one will. men don't like to lose. men carry the hurt longer,i think some do and they don't want to give up.
