I am 38 weeks, and my braxton hicks contractions are starting to happen more often, and when you get closer to your due date, do they get this way?

Yes, it is possible. When you start having weekly check-ups they start checking for dilation, then your more aware of what your body is doing. It is different for everyone, but you will know when you are having labor contractions they are more intense and the feeling lingers a lot longer.

I know when I was pregnant with my son I had braxton hicks contractions as it got closer to the due date and they happened a lot so just be patient, the real contractions will come soon.

Good Luck!

That didn't happen to be, but I heard that Braxton Hicks could be mistaken for the real thing. Talk to your doctor to see if he can tell you which is which. Or time them to determine if they are the hicks or the real thing. Good luck and I hope you have a short labor!

Yes, you will have more braxton hicks contractions to get your body ready for the real thing. Hang in there it will be over soon.

Yes they can be very common. I had them quite a bit. I think I went to the hospital three times because I thought I was in labor and I wasnt. But trust you'll know when its time. Your body gets very anxious and get figety and the baby starts moving like hes trying to break free and you very sick. So dont worry, y ou;ll know.

Yes, they happened a lot the last couple of weeks of my pregnancies. Be sure to keep an eye on the clock and time them just in case. Good luck!

Yes they do and you will know when you have a real contraction there will be no mistaken because they come faster and at regular intervals and well you will know.
