I was born in a big city. I moved to a rural area about three years ago. The change was nice, but I had to eventually go back because the job opportunity was horrible. The city only gave chances to the people who came from that town. I t is a nice retirement town. But I must say that if I had the income flowing in my house the way I needed, then more than likely, i would had stayed there. But the bigger cities offer more opportunities. In a nut shell, I agree with you.

Well, to hear my daughter describe it, we live in the middle of nowhere! :) We do live in a rural area but with a larger city about 20 miles away, so we aren't completely isolated! We moved from a large city and I wouldn't go back for anything either! It's beautiful here.

I live in the city. I have lived in a rural area and there were many nice things about it, but I was a fish out of water. While living in a town of 500 I used to drive to Indianapolis once per week and just take in a deep breath...ahhhh.

I live in a small city across the Mississippi River from New Orleans. It an old section that has been restored over the years. It is quiet, friendly, safe and the architecture of the homes reminds one of years gone by. There is a nice pub two blocks from my house and most everything I need is within walking distance. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

Grew up on a farm 12 miles from town. Now I live in that town (not what I'd call a city). City to me means large metropolitan area, and I usually avoid them.
